VERY BEAUTIFUL, game i love the art style so much

Thank you so much for this game. The art style and music was incredible, and the messages were impactful. As someone who struggles with suicidal ideation and self harm, this really hit home for me, even ended up shedding a few tears haha. So again, thank you so much for this. You represented the struggles well, and did an amazing job. <3

This is an absolute masterpiece. Thank you for making this beautiful game, the art and the story is perfect 10/10

GAMEPLAY WALKTHROUGH

What in GODS name happened to this comment section. Why are there so many trolls here? Don't let this get you down, author- this game genuinely is so amazing. It's so beautiful and sad and raw, and one of my favorite games on itch. Genuinely a must play.

The Painting Style is really delicate and fresh, love it!

why is everyone finding it funny about a suicide like i know its a game but its a game about things that actually happen.

anyway this was a great game i loved it its quite realistic and quite relatable

junk game, just use his drawing skills to cheat us. u will waste your time if you download this one. the developer failed to see the truth of depression, whats more , i dont support gay

(+27)(-2)

I don't think anyone gives a FLYING fuck, if you support gays or not. Simply, keep your opinion to yourself, dude.

(+4)

you deserved all those downvotes tbh.

OHHHHHHHHHHHHKAY

I have notes:
1: The rest of the apps don't work on the computer. Mildly disappointing (jk the computer functionality is great, love the attention to detail)
2: Apparently I can work until 7:00 PM the next day (I was here for 6 hours straight figuring out how to break the game, so I figured I'd just tell it to work until it didn't anymore)
There's more, but it's 5:00 AM irl, and I've not slept in 12 hours now, and they're all jokes, so I'll give my honest review of this game as though it were a piece of literature (which it is):

In all my history of literature and whatnot, there have been three things that have really stood out to me. The first was Allegiant, the last installment of the "Divergent" series by Veronica Roth. The second was a one-act that someone in my high school drama class wrote called "Her(t)," and the third on this list, just above the Hunger Games, is this game I found on Itch.io called "Missed Message," a visually stunning, well orchestrated, emotionally moving piece of literature that I just spent 6 hours playing almost nonstop.

So just to be clear, I just said that this story is better than the Hunger Games, and is only topped by my literal favorite book of all time. It's the kind of thing that makes me want to take 20-30 minutes out of my... well, I wasn't going to sleep anyway, but that time was taken out of something- 20-30 minutes of my day to simply stop and appreciate this story, and also sarcastically tell you that it's disappointing I can't play this game on the computer inside the game. I mean, come on, what is this?

P.S.
To those of you in the comments who will complain about how long I wrote this, you should know that my brain moves at about a mile a minute past midnight, so this is my natural habitat, to write entire essays at 5:00 AM. I'm also so tired I can't pronounce "AM" properly in my head, it sounds like "I am"

(+1)(-1)

Oh, also, any recommendations for another similar game? I've been in the market, but Itch.io isn't really good for that, and I can't spend money rn (sending it when I can ofc), but I would love more games/stories like this.

(+3)

i love the madohomu poster near the mirror

(+1)

I made to videos on this game and i absolutly fuckin loved everything about it, i love may and her story. this game truly is an amazing piece of art

This one hit a little too close to home and yet it was quite healing. I am a lot like May, and when she was talking about her struggles it was like she was describing me. I could tell that this game wasn't made by someone who just googled about depression, self-harm and suicide, but rather someone who knows about it. And that's why I believe you did a great job and the game really helped me. I will make sure to get the goodies and pay some for it (as long as I can pay in Euros) because you deserve it.

(+1)

is their anyway  it will change my wallpaper and hack my laptop like that other game about that cats dream?

(+2)

WHAT GAME IT SOUNDS CUTE

Loved it!

incredible game, was the first playthrough that ill be uploading on my yt and it was well worth a try. everything from the art style to the narrative for great. the audio was immersive and the sense of freedom you had within this game with the choices to ignore messages or get back to work were a great feature. would highly recommend trying for anyone who likes this type of art style

So my gf showed me this game. Im a guy.
At first i was like "Bro whyd u off urself" but the more I got into it i realized how deep it really is. When u leave the house May feels as if there isnt any support, and that only fuels the urge to off herself. She feels like you dont care about her as much. Simply spending time with her and understanding lets her know your there for her. The text message ending is the worst for me cuz you dont know wether shes okay or not. It shows that you should always choose to spend time with people you know rather than new ones if it seems like the right thing to do. You never know when they need a hug.

I must say this game is something else. Truly top tie, I love this so much. you hit all the emotional points making me almost cry. keep up this quality of work

Nice video and moves man!

Thanks so much :D

I love this game , it really caught me off guard on the 1st play through it , I was too invested in the gothic "gf" . But I kept playing until I saved her.
